On May 8th, 2017 northeast Colorado around Wheat Ridge, was hit with a massive Hail Storm that traveled all the way to central Denver. With commercial buildings and homes receiving substantial damage, a lot of what the hail storm caused is visible.

UPDATE: Colorado Public Radio released an article that the hailstorm that struck the Denver metro area in May was the costliest natural catastrophe in state history; with more than $1 billion in losses, according to the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association.
